Adidas Unveils Special Argentina Kit for Lionel Messi’s Final International Match

Adidas has unveiled a special Argentina collection to mark Lionel Messi's international career, headlined by a special edition kit that Argentina will wear when Messi plays his final match for the national team on October 6.

The kit design draws heavily on the Sun of May, one of Argentina's most recognisable national symbols, featured across the front and back of the shirt. The traditional sky blue and white colours are paired with gold detailing on the crest, trim and numbering, meant to reflect the trophies and achievements of Messi's time with the national team.

In an unusual touch, the standard adidas logo has been swapped out for Messi's own personal signature logo on the shirt. The kit also includes a special design featuring his number 10, surrounded by laurel branches and the Sun of May.

On the technical side, the jersey uses adidas' latest CLIMACOOL+ technology, built with 3D body mapping and engineered stretch fabric to help with ventilation and moisture control during matches. Perforated panels and mesh sections are placed throughout to improve airflow and comfort on the pitch.

Alongside the match shirt, adidas is also releasing a wider Messi x Argentina collection, including a pre-match range with bold graphics inspired by the Argentine flag, translated into everyday lifestyle wear, along with matching shorts and socks.

The adidas x Lionel Messi special edition kit is available now through adidas stores, selected retailers and online.
