Bayern Munich Ready to Open Contract Talks with Sensational Michael Olise
Bayern Munich are moving to open contract extension talks with Michael Olise after a sensational start to the season that has seen the French winger contribute directly to 12 goals in just seven matches.
Olise has quickly become one of Bayern's most important players, and the club's hierarchy has clearly taken notice of his form, with securing his long term future now becoming a priority at the Allianz Arena.
Supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the club's plans in an interview with AZ, praising Olise's impact so far this season.
"Olise is under contract until 2029," Rummenigge said. "At some point, the club will have to sit down with him and present a suitable offer. He is exceptional in his position."
The push to open talks is easy to understand given his numbers this season. Olise has scored eight goals and provided four assists in just seven appearances so far.
Since joining from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024, Olise has quickly established himself as a key figure at Bayern. He has made 114 appearances for the club in total, contributing 50 goals and 58 assists, while helping the team win two Bundesliga titles, two German Super Cups and one DFB Pokal.
Bayern are expected to begin formal talks with Olise's representatives in the near future. While his existing deal runs until 2029, the club wants a new contract in place that better reflects how important he has become. Getting an extension sorted sooner rather than later would also remove any uncertainty around his future, allowing both sides to focus purely on football as Bayern look to keep him happy in Munich for years to come.
