LaLiga Roundup: Villarreal Come From Behind to Beat Malaga, Betis Edge Getafe
LaLiga Friday night threw up a big comeback win and a tight, low-scoring affair, with both winning sides putting in dominant performances despite the scorelines not always reflecting it.
The headline result came at La Rosaleda, where Villarreal came from behind to beat Málaga 3-1.
The hosts made the perfect start when Carlos Dotor scored after just 12 minutes, but Villarreal barely blinked. Alberto Moleiro levelled things up before half time, and Pape Gueye put the visitors ahead deep into first-half stoppage time. Gueye then wrapped things up with a penalty in the 86th minute, capping off a man of the match display that earned him an 8.9 rating.

The stats made it clear just how one-sided things were after that early setback, with Villarreal finishing with 63 percent possession and a huge 3.33 to 0.63 edge in expected goals.
Over in Seville, Real Betis edged past Getafe 1-0 at the Benito VillamarÃn, though the scoreline barely tells the story of how much Betis controlled the game.
Abdessamad Ezzalzouli scored the only goal right on the stroke of half time, finishing off a slick move involving Nelson Deossa, Antony and Troy Parrott. Betis dominated the ball with 75 percent possession and outshot Getafe 22 to 8, but couldn't find a second goal despite creating four big chances.

In the end, it was Getafe goalkeeper David Soria who stole the show, making six saves and picking up the match's top rating of 8.5 in a losing effort. Getafe also finished the game with ten men after Mario MartÃn was sent off late on.
