Lewis Family Pump Another £120m Into Tottenham

The Lewis family have invested another £120 million into Tottenham, the Press Association understands, as they continue to tighten their grip on the club.

This latest injection brings the total amount put in by the family over the last 12 months to around £320m. It follows another £100m they added to the club just this summer.

The Lewis family run ENIC, Tottenham's majority owner, and they've taken on more control over decisions at the club since Daniel Levy stepped down as executive chairman last September.

That summer investment already pushed the family's stake in Spurs up to around 88%. Some of that money went straight to head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who was given a healthy transfer budget to work with.

Levy was given the chance to match the investment at the time to stop his own stake from shrinking, but he didn't take up the offer before the deadline passed. As a result, his holding dropped from 29.88% to around 27%.

It's not yet clear if Levy will get a similar opportunity this time around. If he doesn't, or chooses not to invest again, his stake could shrink further, likely down to somewhere around 25%.
