Man United Selling Pieces of Old Trafford Pitch for £125

Manchester United are selling small pieces of the old Old Trafford pitch for £125 each, with the first batch already selling out.

The announcement came on the same day the club confirmed its overall debt remains above £1 billion. United posted record revenue of £677.6m and an operating profit of £22.6m for 2025-26, though the club still recorded an overall pre-tax loss of £43m. United also confirmed they've spent £63.5m so far on land for their planned new stadium, a project expected to cost more than £2 billion in total.

The pitch itself was dug up and stripped back to its foundations this summer, the first time that has happened in 14 years. Sections of the old turf were kept rather than discarded, with small 7x7cm pieces set inside glass cubes, which are then presented in a black case.

According to the club's website, each cube is meant to serve as a "priceless memento of iconic games played at home" and a way to "keep the memories of matchdays alive."
