Pio Esposito Signs Inter Milan Contract Extension Until 2032

Inter Milan striker Pio Esposito has signed a new long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2032, rewarding the 21-year-old forward for a breakout season that helped fire the Nerazzurri to a Serie A and Coppa Italia double.

Esposito joined Inter's youth academy in 2014 at just nine years old before working his way up through the ranks. He made his senior debut at the FIFA Club World Cup in June 2025, and his rise since then has been rapid. The new deal is a clear vote of confidence from the club after his impact last season under manager Cristian Chivu.

Speaking to Inter's official channels after putting pen to paper, Esposito said the moment overwhelmed him. "It is very emotional, I had butterflies in my stomach in the car," he said. He singled out Chivu, who also coached him at Under-14 and Primavera level, as a major influence on his career. "Mister Chivu gave me an opportunity I dreamed of my whole life," Esposito said. "He has always had great esteem and confidence in me, and I hope to keep repaying his trust." He added that he sees the new contract as motivation to keep improving rather than a reason to relax.

Esposito's path to regular first-team football included a two-year loan spell at Spezia in Serie B before he returned to Inter and made an instant impact across all competitions. He finished last season with 10 goals and six assists in 48 appearances, including important league goals against Juventus, Atalanta and Fiorentina, plus a match-winner against Lecce at San Siro. He also made his Champions League debut as a starter away to Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena, cementing his place in Chivu's attacking plans.

He has carried that momentum into the new campaign too, opening his scoring account for the season with a spectacular backheel finish against Monza on matchday one. Esposito thanked Inter's fans for the reception they've given him and said he isn't putting a ceiling on what he can achieve individually this season.

With his long-term future now secured, Esposito's attention turns to keeping up his form as Inter look to defend both the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia this season.
