Roma Get Injury Boost Before Inter Clash, But Hermoso A Doubt

Roma have received a mix of good and bad news ahead of their huge Serie A clash with Inter, with Wesley and Evan Ndicka back in training, though Mario Hermoso is now dealing with an ankle problem.

The two sides meet at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening, kicking off at 17.00 WAT. Roma and Inter are the only two teams with a perfect record after four rounds, so there's plenty riding on the result at the top of the table.

Gian Piero Gasperini didn't have Wesley or Ndicka available for Monday night's win away at Torino, but both players trained with the rest of the squad today, which is a welcome boost heading into the weekend.

The bad news is that Hermoso worked away from the main group after picking up a knock to the ankle during that same Torino game. His fitness will need to be monitored closely before Saturday.

As for the two returning players, Wesley had been carrying a bruise since Roma's 1-1 Champions League draw away at Fenerbahce and was rested as a precaution. Ndicka, meanwhile, didn't even make the bench against Torino after coming down with flu symptoms.

Inter have their own concerns to deal with too. They're likely to be without Hakan Calhanoglu for the game, adding to the list of problems both sides will need to navigate before what promises to be one of the biggest matches of the season so far.
