Serie A Roundup: Inter Survive Wild Night, Roma Cruise in Turin, Como Edge Parma
Inter Milan produced one of the games of the Serie A season so far, coming from two goals down to beat Udinese 5-3 at San Siro in a wild, high-scoring thriller. Elsewhere, AS Roma made it four wins from four with a comfortable 2-0 win at Torino, while Como held off a late fightback from Parma to win 2-1 at home.
Udinese stunned the San Siro crowd by racing into a 2-0 lead inside 16 minutes, with James Abankwah heading home a corner before Jürgen Ekkelenkamp doubled the advantage soon after. Inter hit back through Carlos Augusto and then levelled just before halftime through Nicolò Barella, who finished off a pass from Marcus Thuram to make it 2-2 at the break.

The second half belonged entirely to Inter. Thuram put the hosts ahead for the first time in the 57th minute, Francesco Pio Esposito made it 4-2 ten minutes later, and substitute Ange-Yoan Bonny added a fifth before Udinese's Idrissa Gueye grabbed a late consolation. Thuram was named man of the match for his goal, assist and all-round performance up front, though Barella earned the fans' vote after also scoring and setting up a goal himself.
In Turin, Roma made light work of their hosts, winning 2-0 without ever really being troubled. Donyell Malen broke the deadlock just before halftime with a clinical finish, and Niccolò Pisilli wrapped things up deep into stoppage time. Roma dominated the game in the areas that mattered most, doubling Torino's shot count and controlling the box throughout, with Malen picking up the player of the match award for his composed display.

Como, meanwhile, made hard work of seeing off a spirited Parma side but got there in the end, winning 2-1 at home. Jacobo Ramón opened the scoring from a corner in the first half, and Kaiki added a second in the 83rd minute after some neat build-up play. Parma hit back through substitute David Romero in the 90th minute to set up a nervy finish, but Como held on. Parma keeper Edoardo Corvi was the standout performer on the pitch despite the defeat, making five saves to keep his side in the contest for as long as possible, while Como's Nico Paz picked up the fans' vote for his role in the win.
