Wesley a Late Doubt for Roma's Trip to Torino
Roma face a late fitness worry over wing-back Wesley ahead of Monday night's Serie A clash away at Torino, according to reports in Italy.
Wesley has started all three of Roma's league games so far this season, but Corriere dello Sport reports that his place in the starting lineup is now uncertain after he felt muscular discomfort in his leg during Roma's final training session before the match.
It is not yet clear whether Roma's medical staff will decide to rest him as a precaution or allow him to play through the issue. According to the same report, Wesley himself is keen to push through the discomfort and take his place in the side.
The match at Torino is one of three Serie A fixtures on Monday night, alongside Como against Parma and Inter against Udinese.
A good result for Roma would take them back to the top of the table. They have won all three of their opening league games this season, beating Fiorentina 4-0, winning 4-0 away at Lecce, and edging past Atalanta 2-1.
Roma currently sit second in Serie A on nine points. A draw at Torino would lift them level with Lazio at the top on 10 points, while a win would put them clear in first place on 12 points. Reigning champions Inter, also on nine points, are in action later on Monday night against Udinese.
