Endrick Chooses Club for January Loan Move From Real Madrid

Real Madrid forward Endrick is reportedly looking at a January loan move to AC Milan after failing to get game time at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

The 20-year-old has managed just four minutes of Liga action since the campaign began. That is despite a strong loan spell at Lyon in the second half of last season, when he scored eight goals and made eight assists in 21 games. That form helped him earn a place in Brazil's World Cup squad, but it has not changed things in Madrid.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Endrick has made Milan his first choice if he leaves. His representatives at Roc Nation also have a good relationship with Gerry Cardinale, whose RedBird Capital Partners group owns the Italian club. Roma are also in the chase, but Milan are seen as the clear favourites. Lyon are open to another deal, and Aston Villa have shown interest. Endrick is said to accept that another loan is the best way out.

It is easy to see why he is stuck. Madrid have Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz, plus the injured Rodrygo. They also signed Yan Diomande and Carlos Espi last summer. When Jose Mourinho needs to rotate his attack or chase late goals, he has mostly turned to Espi, the Spain Under-21 international who arrived from Levante. That has pushed Endrick further down the pecking order.

Madrid and the player will need to agree a plan before the window opens. Another spell on the bench would hurt the development of one of the game's top young talents, and a move to Serie A would give him the regular minutes he needs. Until then, he must keep fighting for whatever time he can get in Spain.
