Max Dowman Lands Three Guinness World Records as Arsenal Rise Continues

Arsenal star Max Dowman receives his three Guinness World Record certificates

Arsenal's Max Dowman has been given three official Guinness World Records certificates after a record-breaking rise at his boyhood club.

The England Under-19 international is set to appear in the new Class of '27 in the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027. He is widely seen as one of the best young prospects in world football.

He earned the awards for three firsts. He became the youngest player ever to feature in the Champions League, aged 15 years and 308 days, in the away game at Slavia Prague last season. He beat the old record, held by Youssoufa Moukoko, by 75 days. Moukoko now plays for Turkish club Corum.

Dowman is also the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history. He was 16 years and 73 days old when he scored a brilliant solo goal against Everton in March. On top of that, he is the youngest player to win the Premier League, at 16 years and 144 days, after Arsenal lifted the title in May.

Tom Beckerlegge, senior editor of the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027, said: "The youngest player on our list, Max sums up what the Class of '27 is all about. To have already achieved three Guinness World Records titles before turning 17 is extraordinary, and his story captures exactly why this generation of players is so exciting."

He added: "Football never stands still. Records are broken, new stars emerge and every season brings fresh moments of genius that light up the game."

Dowman started training with the first team at 14. He made his debut off the bench against Leeds in August 2025, when he won a penalty, and has since played 15 times in all competitions. Last month he started the 4-2 EFL Cup win over Ipswich Town and scored twice.

He has already agreed the terms of his first professional contract with Arsenal, which starts when he turns 17 on December 31. With Kai Havertz and Christos Tzolis injured, he now looks set for a bigger role in the coming weeks.
