UCL Wednesday Roundup: Man Humiliated by Como, Arsenal Hold Bayern as Real Madrid Win

Manchester United had one of their worst European nights, losing 4-1 at home to Como on Wednesday. Arsenal and Bayern Munich drew 2-2, and Real Madrid, Aston Villa and Real Betis all kept winning.

Nico Paz scored after 118 seconds for Como, making United the first English side to concede inside two minutes in back-to-back major European games. He added a second later on and set up Tasos Douvikas in between, and Jacobo Ramon headed in the fourth. Joshua Zirkzee scored a late consolation in stoppage time from an Amad Diallo cross. Michael Carrick kept apologising to the fans afterwards, and the pressure on him is growing.

In London, Bukayo Saka limped off after 10 minutes against Bayern. Eberechi Eze came on and put Arsenal ahead in the 25th minute after VAR ruled him onside. Alphonso Davies levelled about 10 minutes later from a Harry Kane pass, and Kane then scored a penalty for handball against Jurrien Timber. Declan Rice rescued a point late on with a low shot after a quick one-two with Viktor Gyokeres.

Real Madrid beat RB Leipzig 4-1. Bernardo Silva scored his first goal for the club in the 43rd minute, and Arda Guler, Kylian Mbappe and Yan Diomande added the rest. Tidiam Gomis got the goal for Leipzig.

Galatasaray won 4-2 at Lille for their first points of the campaign. Yunus Akgun scored after 66 seconds, and Soriba Diaoune hit back in the 7th minute. Diaoune made it 2-1 to Lille in the 39th, but Aleksey Batrakov levelled in the 44th. Lucas Torreira put the visitors ahead in the 52nd, and Victor Osimhen sealed it just after the hour.
