Aduku: Falconets Ready to Treat Spain Clash Like a Cup Final
Falconets head coach Moses Aduku says his players are fully prepared to give everything in Monday's Group F clash against Spain at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, according to Completesports.com.
The match will be played at Stadion Sosnowiec, with kick-off set for 5pm local time, which is 4pm in Nigeria.
Aduku acknowledged that Spain will be tough opponents but said his side is determined to start their campaign on a high note. He said the team will approach the game with the same intensity as a final, with maximum points the target.
"We are looking forward to the match against Spain with high expectations. We are ready and set to go," Aduku told thenff.com.
"Spain is a good side, no doubt; let us not forget they are champions of the world at men's senior level. However, we will approach the game like a Cup final because we want to win. The three points will put us in good stead in our group phase campaign."
A win for the Falconets would put them in a strong position early in Group F, which also features China PR and debutants New Caledonia, who face off in the other group fixture on the same day.
