Computer Predicts Serie A 2026/27 Winners, Top Four and Relegation Candidates

Inter are the favourites to win this season's Serie A title according to Opta's predictor, with Roma, Como and Juventus rounding out the top four, while Milan, Napoli and Lazio are all tipped to miss out on Champions League football.

Five rounds into the 2026/27 season, there are three teams level at the top of the table on 13 points, Inter, Roma and Lazio. Nobody has a perfect record so far, and there hasn't been a single 0-0 draw across the 50 games played this term.

Corriere dello Sport worked with Opta to run the numbers and come up with expected points totals for the season. The model gives Inter a 45 per cent chance of winning the Scudetto, projecting them to finish on around 78 points. Roma are next best, projected for about 73 points and given a 22 per cent chance of the title.

Como are tipped to finish third, an improvement on their fourth place finish last season, with Juventus predicted to take the final Champions League spot.

Milan are expected to finish fifth for a second straight season, with Lazio just behind them in sixth. The biggest shock in the predictions is Napoli, who the model has finishing only seventh, which would leave them with just a Conference League place.

Atalanta, Cagliari and Sassuolo are expected to round out the rest of the top 10.

At the bottom, Venezia already look in serious trouble after losing all five of their opening games, giving them a 73.52 per cent chance of relegation according to the model. Genoa and Parma are also flagged as being at risk, with Monza and Lecce also fighting to beat the drop.
