Serie A Roundup: Serie A Roundup: Juventus and Milan Win Comfortably as Frosinone Shock Como

Round 5 of Serie A saw two of the league's big guns come away with clean sheets and comfortable wins, while further down the table, sharp finishing and standout goalkeeping decided a couple of tighter contests.

Juventus eased past Atalanta 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium in a game built on control and quality delivery. Francisco Conceição opened the scoring in the first half with a well-taken finish from a Zeki Çelik cross, before captain Gleison Bremer sealed things with a towering header from a corner in the second half. Bremer was the standout performer, picking up the top rating on the pitch for a commanding display at both ends, while Juventus stepped up a gear after the break, winning nearly two-thirds of the duels and completely shutting Atalanta out of dangerous areas.

At San Siro, Milan returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Lecce, a much-needed response after three winless games in a row, including a Europa League defeat to Benfica in midweek. Christian Pulisic broke the deadlock early in the first half, a welcome change for a Milan side that had scored all seven of their league goals so far this season after the hour mark. Adrien Rabiot doubled the lead early in the second half before Diego Moreira added a third, his third goal in two matches after also inspiring a comeback against Lazio the previous week. Manager Ruben Amorim will be relieved to see his side keep a clean sheet and find goals early for once, even if he continues to tinker with his best team.

Elsewhere, Parma beat Genoa 2-1 at home despite being second best for large parts of the game. David Romero put the hosts ahead before the break, and although Milutin Osmajić equalised for Genoa with a fine solo effort, substitute Pontus Almqvist restored the lead ten minutes later to seal the win. Genoa had far more of the ball and the better underlying numbers, but Parma were clinical when it mattered.

Fiorentina and Napoli shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the Franchi. Billy Gilmour opened the scoring for the visitors from a corner routine, and Álex Jiménez levelled things up for Fiorentina early in the second half. Napoli were the sharper side for long stretches and created the better chances, but Fiorentina goalkeeper David De Gea was outstanding, making four crucial saves to earn an 8.5 rating and secure a point for his side.

Finally, Frosinone claimed a surprise 2-0 win over Como at home, despite the visitors dominating possession and shot count throughout. Giacomo Calò and Giorgi Kvernadze scored either side of half time, and goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani was simply unbeatable at the other end, making seven saves for a perfect 10 rating as Como fired 27 shots without reward.
